Philippe Conus is Professor of psychiatry since 2011 at the university of Lausanne, Switzerland, and head of the service of adult psychiatry at Lausanne university hospital. After training as a specialist in internal medicine, he specialized in psychiatry and developed a particular interest for schizophrenia. In 2000 he moved to Melbourne and worked with Pat McGorry for 4 years at EPPIC which later became ORYGEN. His research work in Australia focused first on epidemiological studies based on a first episode psychosis cohort (FEPOS study) and then on the early phase of bipolar disorders. He returned to Switzerland in 2004 and launched the TIPP program in Lausanne (Treatment and early Intervention in Psychosis Program) which offers 3 years of treatment to first episode psychosis patients aged 18 to 35: the program has included more than 1000 patients since then and developed various streams of research ranging from determinants of outcome to impact of trauma and translational research exploring the role played by oxidative stress in the emergence of psychosis. Member of IEPA since 2001, he was vice president for Europe between 2018 and 2022 and is currently president elect since 2023. He also launched the French speaking branch of IEPA in 2019.

Robin Murray is Professor of Psychiatric Research at the Institute of Psychiatry, London. He was one of the first to suggest that schizophrenia was in part a neurodevelopmental disorder, and he has contributed to the understanding that environmental factors such as obstetric events, drug abuse and social adversity increase the risk of psychosis. He is the most frequently cited psychosis researcher outside the USA, has supervised 80 PhDs and 12 MD Theses, and 40 of his students have become full professors. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 2010 and received a knighthood in 2011.

Prof. Dr. Jim van Os is Professor of Psychiatry and Chairman of the Division Neuroscience at Utrecht University Medical Centre. He is also Visiting Professor of Psychiatric Epidemiology at King’s College in London.
He has been a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) since 2011 and member of the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities since 2023. He was appointed Fellow of King's College London in 2016. Van Os has been appearing on the Thomson-Reuter Web of Science list of 'most influential scientific minds of our time' since 2014.
He works at the interface of epidemiology, public health, health services research and subjective experiences of people with 'lived experience' in mental healthcare.

Christoph U. Correll is Professor of Psychiatry at The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, New York, USA, and also Professor and Chair of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Charité University Medicine, Berlin, Germany. He completed his medical studies at the Free University of Berlin in Germany, and Dundee University Medical School in Scotland. He is board certified in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry, having completed both residencies at The Zucker Hillside Hospital in New York. Since 1997, he has been working and conducting research in New York, USA, and since 2017 he is also working in Germany again.
Dr. Correll focuses on early identification and treatment of youth and adults with severe mental illness, psychopharmacology, clinical trials, epidemiology, meta-analyses, and the interface between physical health and mental health. He has published over 900 articles that have been cited more than 78.000 times and received over 40 research awards. In May 2024, his H-index was 143 in Google Scholar. Since 2014, the beginning of this metric, he has been listed annually by Clarivate/Web of Science as one of the “most influential scientific minds” and “top 1% cited scientists in the area of psychiatry”. Additionally, Dr. Correll has been holding numerous Expertscape rankings based on the number of publications and citations in the past 10 years, i.e., for 15 topics as “Expert” (among the top 1% cited scientists), and 24 topics as “World Expert” (among the top 0.1% cited scientists), including in May 2024 being ranked as the number one world expert in >10 areas, including “central nervous system agents”, “psychotropic drugs“, “schizophrenia”, “schizophrenia spectrum and other psychotic disorders”, “antipsychotics”, “delayed action preparations” and “weight gain”.

Dr. Tibbo received his B.Sc. (Hons) from Mount Alison University in Sackville, NB, and his MD from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. He completed his residency in psychiatry at the University of Alberta and following this joined the staff at the University of Alberta Hospital as a clinician and researcher. He was instrumental in the development of and co-directed both the Bebensee Schizophrenia Research Unit and the Edmonton Early Psychosis Intervention Clinic.
In 2008 Dr. Tibbo was named the first Dr. Paul Janssen Chair in Psychotic Disorders, an endowed research chair, at Dalhousie University in Halifax NS. He is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry with a cross-appointment in Psychology and Neuroscience at Dalhousie University. He is Director of Research for the Department of Psychiatry at Dalhousie and Clinical Director of the provincial Early Psychosis Intervention Nova Scotia (EPINS) program for Nova Scotia Health. Dr Tibbo is President of the Canadian Consortium for Early Intervention in Psychosis (CCEIP), helping to advance early intervention care at the national level.
Dr. Tibbo’s publications are primarily in the area of schizophrenia with his current foci of study including individuals at the early phase of, and at risk for, a psychotic illness. Dr. Tibbo’s areas of research include application of in vivo brain neuroimaging techniques to study psychosis as well as research interests in co-morbidities in schizophrenia (primarily substance misuse and psychosis), pathways to care/service delivery, education, and non-pharmacological treatment options. He is funded by local and national peer reviewed funding agencies and well published in leading journals. Dr Tibbo was a recipient of the Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health’s Champion of Mental Health Research award in 2017 and the 2018 Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Prix d’Excellence - Specialist of the Year (region 5).
