ESC/SSA Student Travel Grant
The ESC/SSA Student Travel Grant is available to an SSA student member who does not reside in an ESC country, for travel to Corfu (Greece) for the 39th General Assembly of the European Seismological Commission. This grant is provided under a cooperative agreement between SSA and ESC. Applications are due by 12 April 2024. The travel grant covers the cost of meeting registration, and participation in the Young Scientist Training Course (YSTC, under the same conditions as the other participants), and provides a cash award of 1500 USD.
In order to apply for the ESC/SSA Student Travel Grant each applicant has to submit:

Student Presentation Awards
These awards recognize the best student papers presented, either as oral or poster presentations, during the 39th General Assembly of the European Seismological Commission. Presentations will be judged by a special committee chaired by the principal convener of the relevant session. In judging the entries, consideration will be given to scientific rigor, contribution to the field, relevance to the conference theme, and overall presentation. Please see below the awards for the first three places in each category (oral and poster presentation):
About the IASPEI Early Career Award: The winner of this award is expected to attend and actively participate (talk or poster) at the IASPEI 43rd Scientific Assembly in 2025 in Lisbon, Portugal, and will receive the amount of 1500 USD to facilitate his/her relative participation expenses.
About the ESC Award: The winner of this award is expected to attend and actively participate (talk or poster) at the 40th ESC General Assembly in 2026 (location to be announced) and will receive the amount of 1500 USD to facilitate his/her relative participation expenses.

- an abstract as first author
- a statement of interest, describing why the applicant would like to attend the meeting and the benefits he/she will obtain from it.
- a detailed CV
- a letter of support by an academic supervisor
