on Monday, July 3rd, 2023, evening 19:30-21:30
(organised by Prof. Hara Drinia and Dr. Fani Tripolitsiotou)
Join us for
an evening walk along a 2 km route and don’t miss the chance to follow the
footsteps of Pericles, Socrates and Plato passing through several ancient Greek monuments, which are of great
geological interest in addition to their cultural value. The Acropolis geo-tour will start at the
Kallimarmaron Stadium, with a second stop at Agia Fotini at the Ilissus Riverbank
and the adjacent Cave of God Pan. We will walk through the Hadrian's Arch and
arrive at the Dionysus Theater, the Thrasyllus Monument, the Eumenes Stoa, and
the Odeon of Herodes Atticus along the foothill of Acropolis of Athens. We will
end our evening by enjoying a refreshing drink in the lively Thesion area,
under the full moon!
