Dr. Sanchez-Sotelo practices as Consultant in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Mayo Clinic. He is also appointed as Professor at Mayo College of Medicine. He serves as Division Chair of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, and Chairman of the Orthopedic Research Review Committee at Mayo Clinic, and Liaison for the Department of Orthopedic Surgery with Mayo Clinic Media Relationships. He has been presented the Mayo Clinic Teacher of the Year Award on two separate occasions and has received other awards in the past, including the Mark B. Coventry, Melvin Post, MidAmerica Orthopedic Association, Knee Society, ISOLS 2019, ICSES 2019, AAOS Achievement's Awards, Course Director for Best Mayo Clinic Course (2017 and 2021), and Digital Educator of the Year at Mayo Clinic 2021.
Dr. Joaquin Sanchez-Sotelo MD PhD was born in Madrid, Spain. He graduated as Medical Doctor from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, and obtained the #1 position in the Spanish National Exam for Medical Graduates. Dr. Sanchez-Sotelo completed his Residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Hospital Universitario La Paz and his PhD Program at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid. He was then selected for a fellowship position at Mayo Clinic and completed a two-year program in adult reconstruction.
Dr. Sanchez-Sotelo has published over 300 articles in the peer-reviewed literature in addition to over 50 book chapters. He is co-editor of the most widely read textbook on elbow surgery, "The Elbow and Its Disorders". Dr. Sanchez-Sotelo has also published Mayo Clinic Principles of Shoulder Surgery. He is actively involved in the design of implants for joint replacement and fracture fixation. Dr. Sanchez-Sotelo serves as course co-director for the Mayo Clinic Annual Elbow Course "Teach the teachers", the Mayo Clinic Course on Shoulder Tendon Transfers and Complex Rotator Cuff Tears, the International Advanced Course on Elbow Surgery (IACES), and the ICJR Shoulder Course. He has presented his research in numerous occasions at national and international meetings.
Dr. Sanchez-Sotelo is member of multiple professional societies, and recently served as Board Member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES). He is Associate Editor for the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (JSES), and has served as associated editor for the Journal of Orthopedic Trauma (JOT).
Dr. Sanchez-Sotelo has developed a special interest in complex reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and elbow joints, as well as in basic science research related to the genetic and molecular basis of orthopedic conditions, particularly joint stiffness, as well as the biomechanics of shoulder and elbow injuries and implants and the application of artificial intelligence to shoulder and elbow surgery. Other interest outside orthopedic surgery include cooking, ballroom dancing, travelling and reading.
Korea
In-Ho Jeon, MD, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, College of Medicine, University of Ulsan in Seoul, Korea. Active clinical appointment majoring elbow and upper extremity surgeries in Asan Medical Center, University Hospital of Ulsan Medical School. He serves as an associated editor of Journal of Shoulder Elbow Surgery, and a member of the Examination Board of Korean Orthopedic Association.
Dr. Jeon achieved medical degree from Kyungpook National University in Daegu and finished orthopedic resident training in the same university hospital. Shoulder and Elbow Research Fellowship in the University of Nottingham supervised by Prof. Angus Wallace for two years and became assistant professor in the Kyungpook National University. Dr. Jeon worked in Mayo Clinic for clinical and research on elbow with Prof. Bernard Morrey. Dr. Jeon published over 100 scientific papers in peer reviewed journal as a main author and became Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery in Asan Medical Center and served as a chair person of scientific committee of ICSES in elbow program.
Clinical research work covers elbow anatomy, biomechanics and elbow trauma. Professor Jeon’s research team collaborates with researchers in robotics, and IT companies to establish next generation robotic surgery in orthopedic surgery and a new digital surgical suite. Dr. Jeon’s team has several grants supported by the Ministry of Health & Welfare, and Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korean Government.
Professor of Orthopaedics at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, USA
Dr. Zalavras specializes in the fields of orthopaedic trauma and infection with a particular interest in elbow trauma and reconstruction. He has been practicing for over 20 years at the Los Angeles County & University of Southern California Medical Center, which is one of the busiest level I trauma centers in the USA. He has published more than 150 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters focusing in the topics of trauma and infection and his work has been extensively cited with more than 7,000 citations. Dr. Zalavras has been invited to deliver more than 120 scientific lectures in conferences in the USA and all over the world. He has been invited as Visiting Professor at the University of Thessaly and University of Athens and as faculty at the AO Research Institute in Davos. Dr. Zalavras was the recipient of distinguished Marshall R. Urist Young Investigator Award by the Association of Bone and Joint Surgeons in 2003 and the Scholar Award by the Musculoskeletal Infection Society and the Association of Bone and Joint Surgeons in 2009. His research work was nominated for the Charles S. Neer II Award by the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons in 2008 and he was recipient of a Traveling Fellowship Award by the Japanese Orthopaedic Association in 2013. Dr. Zalavras currently serves in the Editorial Board of Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research (Deputy Editor for Infection) and Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma (Section Editor for Infection). Dr. Zalavras served as president of the Musculoskeletal Infection Society in 2009-2010 and as member of its executive board from 2007 to 2012.

Paolo Arrigoni, M.D., a specialist in Orthopaedics and Traumatology, is an attending orthopedic surgeon at ASST Pini – CTO Hospital in Milan.
He is specialized in elbow and shoulder surgeries and has extensive experience in elbow instability and arthroscopy procedures.
Dr. Arrigoni attended both medical school and recidency in Orthopaedics at Università degli Studi di Milano.
After residency, he completed the Shoulder Surgery Fellowship at the S.S.
Burkhart in San Antonio, TX USA, the AO Trauma Fellowship at the D. Helfet - Hospital for Special Surgery, New York, NY, USA, and the Upper Limb and Elbow Surgery at the S. Kamineni, London, UK.
Dr. Arrigoni has over 65 peer-reviewed publications and he regularly presents elbow research at national and international academic meetings. He has received multiple awards from organizations including SIAGASCOT, ESSKA, ISAKOS.
Dr. Arrigoni maintains an active clinical research and mentors medical students, residents, and fellows.
He is a peer-reviewer for multiple major academic journals.
Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at East Kent University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, United Kingdom
Georgios is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at East Kent University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, specialising in shoulder, elbow and upper limb surgery. He is also also Visiting Professor, Faculty of Medicine, Health and Social Care, Canterbury Christchurch University, a Honorary Researcher, School Of Engineering and Digital Arts

His areas of expertise include arthroscopic management of shoulder and elbow problems and primary, as well as, revision arthoplasty. He has a particular interest in biologic treatments for arthritis and sports injuries.
He completed the prestigious Reading Shoulder and Elbow Centre Fellowship and the Shoulder and Knee Sports Fellowship at the large joints unit of the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, International member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and member of the European Shoulder Associates section of the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery & Arthroscopy.
Mr Arealis has a strong research background and was awarded his PhD from the University of Thessaloniki and has since contributed to several postgraduate PhD and masters projects. He regularly lectures about shoulder and elbow surgery both nationally and on the international stage and is faculty of the Athens Shoulder Course and the Athens Elbow Course. He is actively involved in clinical research and has published multiple peer-reviewed journals and his work can be found on Google scholar, ORCID and ResearchGate.
Germany
Christos Koukos, Dr. med., is the head of the arthroscopic division in the EVK Mettmann in Germany. He deals mostly with sports injuries of the elbow, instabilities etc.. After finishing his residency and subspecialty of “spezielle orthopädische Chirurgie“ in Germany, he worked as a consultant in the Sportklinik Duisburg. He has done visiting elbow fellowships in the the ARCUS Klinik under PD Dr. Klaus Burkhart.

Ο Πανελλήνιος Ιατρικός Σύλλογος, σύμφωνα με τα κριτήρια της UEMS – EACCME, θα χορηγήσει έως 23 μόρια Συνεχιζόμενης Ιατρικής Εκπαίδευσης (CME-CPD credits) στους ιατρούς που θα παρακολουθήσουν την Επιστημονική Συνάντηση. Η χορήγηση των μορίων γίνεται βάσει των ωρών παρακολούθησης του επιστημονικού προγράμματος.
