WELCOME ADDRESS

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is a great pleasure to welcome you All to the 5th Advances in Circulating Tumor Cells: “Liquid Biopsy in its best” (ACTC 2021) meeting in the beautiful city of Kalamata.

Liquid biopsy is a fascinating and exponentially growing field that has a tremendous potential to significantly change the therapeutic strategy and management of cancer patients. This first in-person meeting in our field after the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, aims to bring together again researchers from academia, clinical oncologists and technology providers to present, discuss and share the latest information on liquid biopsy.

I am really very glad that we will have again after such a long time the chance to interact, establish collaborations and present our latest data in a unique, relaxing and stimulating environment. It is great that even under these hard conditions due to the pandemic, a critical mass of world recognized pioneer researchers and clinical oncologists that have major contributions in the field participate to the 5th ACTC Meeting through state of the art presentations, stimulating discussions, and sharing unpublished data.

Following all safety guidelines, certificates of vaccination and recent negative molecular SARS-COV2 testing we aim to ensure that the ACTC Meeting will be held in a safe environment.

I would like to thank you all for your participation, and I would also like to thank all our sponsors, for their generous support.

I wish you all a nice stay in Kalamata! Enjoy the meeting!

Warm regards,

Evi S. Lianidou
