Arkadianos Ioannis, MD
Dr. Ioannis Arkadianos is the Vice President and co-founder at the European Lifestyle Medicine Organization (ELMO).
He graduated from Athens University Medical School. He is certified in General Medicine with extra Post Graduate studies in Obesity, Nutrition and Nutrigenomics.
He holds the SCOPE Certification (Strategic Centre for Obesity Professional Education) from “World Obesity Federation” (WOF). He is a pioneer Medical Doctor of Lifestyle Medicine in Europe, having practiced in this field for the last 30 years and was the President of the Organizing Committee of the “1st European Lifestyle Medicine Congress” (Geneva 10-11 November 2018) and the “2nd European Lifestyle Medicine Congress” (Rome 8-10 November 2019)

Certified Nutritionist and Clinical Sexologist- Scientific Director of the European Lifestyle Medicine Certificate
Dr. Ioan Hanes is a medical doctor who lives and works in Brussels, Belgium. He is a clinical practitioner in lifestyle medicine, being the head of the Obesity Department of the Military Hospital (MeNuFit- Brussels) where he works as a certified medical nutritionist. Ubaldi Stefania, MD, PHD
Dr. Stefania Ubaldi is the President of the European Lifestyle Medicine Organization (ELMO). She graduated summa cum laude in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bologna (Italy) and holds a specialization in Internal Medicine from the University of Naples Federico II. She was awarded her PhD in Clinical Pathophysiology and Experimental Medicine, for research on Carotid Atherosclerosis (University of Naples Federico II). During these years, she has gained significant experience in the fields of lipid metabolism and atherosclerosis.
Additionally, she is currently working on her second specialization in Psychotherapy at the "European School of Functional Psychotherapy" (Napoli, Italy), investigating the association between stress and illness.
Since the beginning of her clinical practice, more than 20 years ago, she has been dedicating herself to the promotion of Healthy Lifestyle applying evidence-based medicine in her internal medicine practice focusing primarily on behavior change and interdisciplinary approaches. She is an expert in Clinical Nutrition for prevention and therapy of metabolic syndrome, obesity and metabolic disorders. She also has a broad experience in the clinical application of genetics for prevention and healthy ageing.
In 2014, she founded MedinVita, in Geneva (Switzerland), a company dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of the clinical application of Lifestyle Medicine, made up of an interdisciplinary team of expert consultants in Nutrition, Physical Activity, Stress Management, Environmental Medicine, Toxicology, Epidemiology, Molecular Biology and Biochemistry.
In 2015, she established the first Lifestyle Medicine Course for the healthcare staff of a public Hospital in Italy where she co-founded the first Service for Lifestyle Medicine in Uro-Andrology in the italian public health care system.
She is currently participating in a project with the Ministry of Health of Italy on Infertility and Lifestyle Medicine in Adolescents.

Robert Kelly, MD
Dr. Robert Kelly is a consultant in Cardiology & Lifestyle Medicine at UCD Beacon and Senior Lecturer in Lifestyle Medicine RCSI, Dublin, Ireland. Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and American College of Cardiology, runs a busy lifestyle medicine cardiology practice in Dublin. He has an MBA at Henley Business School UK and obtained the International Board Certification in Lifestyle Medicine. Offers group coaching program online to help patients change behaviours and to make lasting improvements in lifestyle.
Doina Todea, MD
Dr.Doina Todea is Pneumologist who develops her medical practice in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, being the Head of the Pneumology department and Professor at ‘’Iuliu Hatieganu’’ University of Medicine &Pharmacy.Her area of interest is respiratory disease in particularly obstructive bronchitis syndromes, obstructive sleep apnoea, non-invasive ventilation and tabacology. Regarding Sleep Medicine, she is focused on the management of sleep apnoea by lifestyle intervention combined with therapy. From the position of coordinator, she manages a national project with the objective of smoking cessation, and she is an expert in smoking counselling.
Recently she followed a course organised by the European Lifestyle Medicine Organization (ELMO), together with the Belgian Lifestyle Medicine Organization (BELMO) and she improved her clinical and practical skills about lifestyle medicine.

Ourania Kolokotroni, MD
Dr Kolokotroni is a UK trained pediatrician and a member of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health, UK. She lives and works in Cyprus. She is Assistant Professor at the school of Health Sciences at the Cyprus University of Technology, Cyprus. Her research interests are in the area of early life determinants of health and specifically the role of early life exposures in the development of obesity and other chronic diseases. She is a certified lactation consultant and actively involved in breastfeeding promotion through her work as president and founding member of the Cyprus Breastfeeding Association. Over the past 3 years she has also been involved in the development of Baby Buddy Forward, an online educational platform for parents promoting a healthy start in life. She has recently completed the EMLO certificate in Lifestyle Medicine.
Reka Vernes, MD
Reka Vernes is a medical doctor, specialized in Family Medicine, trained and with an extensive work experience in Hungary and US. She is a prominent member of Lifestyle Medicine movement in Hungary and in Europe, teaching and practicing in Budapest the management of chronic non communicable diseases. Her recent certifications in Sports Medicine and Hypertension Medicine complete her expertise related to lifestyle medicine.
Lilach Malatskey M.D. M.H.A
Specialist in Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine and Vice Dean for community education, Azrieli Faculty of Medicine, Bar Ilan University. Has a master's degree in health administration, Ben Gurion University. She is the founder (2011) and President of the Israeli society of Lifestyle Medicine in the Israel Medical Association. She is the Primary editor of the syllabus for the study of lifestyle medicine and a Coordinator and lecturer of Lifestyle medicine courses for family practitioners, residents, and medical students. She is the head of the Israeli forum for physician's health and wellbeing (2015) in the Israeli medical association and leading programs to improve physician's health including Mifne – an emotional support organization for physicians, congresses for physician's health, and more.
She is the creator of an online Lifestyle Medicine course for primary physician in NextGenU- the world’s first free, accredited, higher education portal( 2018 - English) and in the Israeli Medical Association online school (2020 - Hebrew).

Damiana Vulturar, MD
Damiana Vulturar is a young medical doctor in Pneumology department from ‘’Iuliu Hatieganu’’ University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Her medical activity focusses on respiratory disease, non-invasive ventilation, sleep medicine and on the use of various tobacco products by the young generation. As a medical student she followed internships in different countries (Taiwan, Israel, Russia) and she improved her knowledge not only about medical skills but also about lifestyles in different cultures. Recently she followed a course organised by the European Lifestyle Medicine Organization (ELMO), together with the Belgian Lifestyle Medicine Organization (BELMO) and she improved her clinical and practical skills about lifestyle medicine.
Regarding her scientific activity she has recently began her PhD thesis with the title ‘’Translational research on clinical-functional and genetic correlations in patients with moderate-severe forms of SARS-CoV-2 infection’’. She was awarded with prizes in Pneumology events, and she participate in different manifestations.

Jana Yanova, MD
Dr. Jana Yanova, is the Co-founder and Medical Director of Concierge Medicine Europe, the first Lifestyle Medicine Clinic in the Czech Republic.
She graduated from the Second Medical Faculty of Charles University, Czech Republic, and holds a specialization in General Medicine. She has also specialized in Public Health, as a Diploma member, MFMPH of the Royal Colleges of Physicians, U.K. For a number of years, she taught as an Assistant Professor for Family Medicine and Public Health at the University of Hong Kong. While at the University, she developed a curriculum for a course on the Principles of Public Health, which was part of the Master of Public Health programme there, and produced an educational interactive video tutorial entitled "Snow on Cholera“, as well as participated in a research to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of cervical cancer screening.
After returing to Europe, Dr Yanova practiced as a General Practitioner at a premium private medical clinic, and as of 2012, was appointed as Head Doctor, putting to clinical practice her years of preventative and evidence-based foundations from Public Health.

Prof. Jason Aragon Castillo
Prof. Castillo got his Bachelor of Science. Exercise Science & Wellness Administration (La Sierra University in 2000 and then his Masters in Public Health (MPH): Preventive Care from Universidad de Montemorelos in 2003.
He is the President of the Mexican network of health promoting universities HPU´s (2021-2023) and director of the School of public health at Universidad de Montemorelos (UM). He is also the president of the Institutional Health committee at Universidad de Montemorelos Director Healthy University and Professor at the University Fitness Department - Exercise as medicine (School of medicine UM).
He has participated as a lecturer and/or presenter in various international institutions and congresses with the topic of Public Health and Preventative Medicine.

Gopchuk Elena, MD, PhD
Dr. Elena Gopchuk, PhD, is a gynaecologist and sexologist, Practitioner of Lifestyle Medicine in Cyprus. She has an extensive practical and academic experience, authoring & co-authoring more than 100 scientific and health-popularizing publications. Founder of Women's Healthcare Studio online (gopchuk.com) where she is offering sexual health consultations. Since 2020, as graduate of the ELMO Lifestyle Medicine Certificate, she is developing direction of The Lifestyle Medicine in Cyprus (@lifestyle.medcy). She is speaker on international scientific conferences as well as sexual health educator in her personal public projects in Greece, Ukraine and Cyprus for adults and adolescents.
Aarti Javeri, MD
Dr. Javeri is an Internal Medicine Specialist and a Board-Certified Lifestyle Medicine Specialist. She graduated from Imperial College London with a distinction in clinical practice and clinical science. She also has a SCE in Endocrinology & Diabetes from the Royal College of Physicians. Her passion for Diabetes, weight management, nutrition and lifestyle fostered during her early years as a doctor in India where she realized the need for more holistic, and sustainable management plans. She has been commended as being extremely approachable, caring and empathetic towards her patients. She spends time with patients to establish the root of all concerns, to diagnose, to educate and subsequently derive management plans that are of an extremely high standard of care.

Prof. George P. Chrousos, MD, ScD
George P. Chrousos, MD, ScD born in Patras, Greece, is a Greek-American pediatrician, endocrinologist, neurobiologist and one of the world's foremost medical clinical researchers. He serves as Professor of Pediatrics and Endocrinology Emeritus and at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens School of Medicine, Athens, Greece and as Director of University Research Institute of Maternal And Child Health & Precision Medicine. He currently also holds the UNESCO Chair on Adolescent Health Care. He is one of the 250 most cited scientists internationally (ISI highly cited), included not only in the list of Clinical Medicine, but also in that of Biology and Biochemistry, and is the highest cited clinical pediatrician or endocrinologist in the world.

Prof. Carlos Van Mieghem, MD
Professor Dr Carlos Van Mieghem, MD, PhD, FESC is former staff member of the department of Interventional Cardiology at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands, former staff member and director of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at the department of Cardiology OLV Hospital Aalst, Belgium and currently staff member at the Cardiology department AZ Groeninge Kortrijk, Guest Professor at the Department of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of the Catholic University of Leuven, consultant at Cardea Lifestyle Medicine Clinic Merelbeke, Belgium.
He studied medicine magna cum laude at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, and obtained board certification in internal medicine, cardiology and intensive care medicine. Dr. Georgeta Vaidean received her M.D. degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and followed with a M.P.H. degree in Health Promotion and Health Education from the University of South Carolina and a Ph.D. in Epidemiology, with a concentration in Cardiovascular Epidemiology, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Jumanah Essa-Hadad, PhD
Dr. Essa-Hadad completed a Master's degree in Community Health and Nutrition from Virginia Tech and a BSc in Health and Exercise Science from Furman University. She received her doctorate in Public Health from the University of Haifa, with an emphasis on health promotion.
In 2012, Dr. Essa-Hadad joined the Azrieli Faculty of Medicine in the Galilee at Bar Ilan University. Her research interests include lifestyle medicine, lifestyle medical education, child injury prevention, web-based health education, and health of minority and disadvantaged populations. Currently, she is working on a Faculty wide initiative to develop a health promoting faculty of medicine and evaluating its implementation on staff and students. She is also involved in teaching on the population health and lifestyle medicine curriculums for medical and graduate students.
Over the past year, she has been lead researcher in Israel on an EU-Horizon 2020 project on enablers and barriers of childhood vaccination in the Arab community in Israel. She is also a city coordinator in the SPHERE initiative (Social Precision-medicine Health Equity Research Endeavour), a comprehensive program designed to transform diabetes care in Israel’s socioeconomically disadvantaged northern Galilee region -- while simultaneously spurring innovations in diabetes treatment and prevention that can be applied around the world.

Thiago Guimarães Osório, MD
Graduated in medicine in 2009. Specialist in Cardiology, Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device, Clinical Arrhythmia and invasive electrophysiology in 2018 at the São Paulo Heart Hospital, Brazil.

Tiina Hoffman
Tiina Hoffman is a Master Trainer for Firstbeat’s international partners and clients in wellness and performance services. She has a B.Sc. degree from the University of Alaska, Anchorage and an M.Sc. degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. Before joining Firstbeat 14 years ago, she worked as a Nordic skiing coach at the University of Alaska and in applied research projects in athlete overtraining and heart rate variability field studies at the Research Institute for Olympic Sports and the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. Giovanni Andrea Fava got his medical degree from the University of Padova in 1977, with electives at McMaster University, Rochester, NY (Engel) and Dartmouth (Lipowski). In Padova he also completed his residency training in psychiatry in 1981. After working for several years in the US (Albuquerque and Buffalo, N.Y.), he came back to Italy in 1988, where he established an Affective Disorders Program in the Department of Psychology of the University of Bologna. He was first Associate Professor of Psychosomatic Medicine and then Professor of Clinical Psychology there until the end of 2018.
He is currently Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Michelle Tollefson, MD
Michelle Tollefson, MD, FACOG, DipABLM, FACLM, is the Secretary of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine Executive Board. She is an obstetrician-gynecologist in Denver, CO, and a Professor in the Health Professions Department at Metropolitan State University of Denver where she created and oversees the Lifestyle Medicine Program and the Wellness Coaching and Lifestyle Medicine Pathway.
