Guidelines for Oral Presentations Video Recording

1. HOW TO RECORD THE VIDEO OF YOUR PRESENTATION


Abstracts accepted for oral presentation will be allocated in dedicated sessions. Time allotted for each oral presentation is 12 minutes followed by 3 minutes of Q&As.
Please take into consideration that in the digital conference format, it is very important to respect the time allocated to your presentation when preparing your video.
There are several video conferencing tools available to easily record a presentation. In this method, you can show your face via webcam and display your slides as you talk. You may also incorporate a video or animation, as long as you respect the allocated time.

Please note that the file must be a video file in MP4 format. Please do not try to submit PowerPoint or PDF files.

2. SPECIFICATIONS FOR YOUR VIDEO PRESENTATION

Please consider the following technical specifications of your video:
Duration:
Oral Presentation: 12 minutes
Invited Presentation: 25 minutes
Video file format:
mp4
Resolution:
1280 pixels wide Χ 720 pixels high is required for optimum image quality
Aspect ratio:
16:9 widescreen (for your PowerPoint slides, you may use the conference template, please click here).

Tips for Recording

  1. Use an area as quiet as possible
  2. Avoid areas that have echo
        a) Rooms should be fairly small
        b) Sound dampening with carpeting, curtains, furniture
  3. Wired (Ethernet cable) internet connection recommended, but if unavailable, a strong Wi-Fi connection
  4. Good headset with microphone close to mouth BUT away from direct line of mouth to reduce “pops”.  Avoid using default built-in microphone on the computer.
  5. Do a test recording of a couple of minutes and review the sound and picture quality, MP4 format, and bit rate before recording the entire presentation. Make necessary adjustments, if needed.

3. SUBMITTING THE VIDEO OF YOUR PRESENTATION


Deadline for submitting recorded video presentations: August 31st, 2021.

Presenters are required to upload their presentation as a single file in MP4 format named: Presenter’s name (LAST_FIRST) and the Paper Reference Number (i.e. SMITH_JOHN_105).
