Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the European Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery, it is my great pleasure and honor to invite you for the 3rd consecutive year to the 3rd ESPN Workshop. Following 2 successful editions, we will resume our goal of providing state-of-the-art hands-on experience on Pediatric Neurosurgery. The location is well-known: Lyon-France, on June 30 – July 2, 2019.
Introductory lectures by renowned experts will ensure sufficient theoretical background is provided, addressing at the same time some important interdisciplinary issues. Extensive hands-on sessions will ensure that theory is put to good use, and will include close exchange regarding tips and tricks, as well as practical issues of surgical treatment. The topic addressed this year is “Traumatic lésions of the craniovertebral junction”.
Participation is limited to 14 delegates, to facilitate interaction between attendees and Faculty and to enhance the hands-on experience. Registration will be offered on a first-come first-registered basis; however, priority will be given to trainees in their final year of internship or trained neurosurgeons. For this Workshop to be fruitful, trainees must have sufficient neurosurgical experience.
The Department of Anatomy has considerable experience and expertise in this field; it is hosting the EANS hands-on courses and several neurosurgical workshops since several years. LYON is easily accessible by both air and railway.
We, Patrick Mertens, President of the French Neurosurgical Society, Carmine Mottolese, Director of Pediatric Department of the University Hospital of Lyon, and myself, cordially invite you to participate and look forward to welcoming you in Lyon in July 2019 personally.
