It is a great honour and pleasure to invite you to the 2017 Annual Postgraduate Course (10th cycle – 3rd year) of the European Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery (ESPN), which will be held in Löwenstein-Germany, from May 22 to May 26, 2017. 

It is the goal of this internationally oldest course in Pediatric Neurosurgery, with a 30 year tradition, to promote the best available education in Pediatric Neurosurgery by leading European and extra-European experts. Apart from teaching the pediatric disease specific background knowledge and principles of treatment, a close exchange in a workshop atmosphere regarding tips and tricks and practical issues of surgical

treatment is an essential part of the Course.

This year the addressed topics will be cerebral hemispheric tumors, infections, spasticity, epilepsy, and pineal tumors. As is customary in ESPN Course organizations, the Scientific Programme will feature plenary sessions with lectures, round table discussions and case presentations on the aforementioned thematic, as well as parallel sessions of hands-on workshops and case-solving groups, enhancing interaction between Faculty and participants.
