Dr. John Denstedt graduated from medical school at The University of Western Ontario. He completed his residency in Urology at Western between 1983 and 1987 followed by a fellowship in Endourology under Dr. Ralph Clayman at Washington University in St. Louis. He returned to London and joined the Division of Urology in the Department of Surgery at Western in 1990.
In July 2003 he assumed the role of City-Wide Chair and Chief of the Department of Surgery at The University of Western Ontario, and was reappointed in 2008 for another 5-year term. Dr. Denstedt also currently serves as the Integrated Senior Medical Director of Surgery Services, at London Health Sciences Centre & St. Joseph’s Health Care, London and is currently the Chair of the Canadian Association of Surgical Chairs.
While maintaining an active clinical practice, Dr. Denstedt is an internationally renowned scholar in urology with career accomplishments encompassing over 175 publications; more than 200 guest professorships in countries throughout the world; and numerous honours and awards including being the first Canadian to have won the Gold Cystos cope Award from the American Urological Association (AUA).
Dr. Denstedt’s research interests include minimally invasive surgery; urolithiasis; biomaterials; and urinary tract infection. With a specific interest in surgical education, he has participated in the development and validation of computer based surgical simulators, which help train the next generation of surgeons.

Professor Jean de la Rosette qualified in medicine from the University of Nijmegen, the Netherlands, in 1992. He was then appointed consultant urologist and Director Minimal Invasive Urology at the Department of Urology at the University Hospital at Nijmegen. In 1994 he obtained his doctorate. Since 2002 Jean de la Rosette is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Urology at the Academic Medical Centre (AMC) and University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Professor de la Rosette is a member of the Minimal Invasive Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) committee of the International Consultation on BPH and the chairman of the Renal Stone committee, patronised by the World Health Organisation (WHO). He is past chairman of the EAU Section of Uro-Technology (ESUT) and past chairman of the European Association of Urology (EAU) working party on BPH guidelines. He is appointed as chairman of the Clinical Research Office of the Endourological Society (CROES) and member of the Board of the Endourological Society. He is the past president of the WCE 2005 meeting and scientific chairman of the WCE 2012 meeting. He is at present a member of the Executive Board of the Société International d’Urologie (SIU).
Professor de la Rosette is a member of various urological societies including the American Urological Association (AUA), the European Association of Urology (EAU), the Endourological Society and the Société International d’Urologie (SIU). He is also on the editorial board of the Journal of Endourology, European Urology, Journal of Urology, BJU International, Journal of Central Europe, and Turkish Journal of Urology.
Professor de la Rosette has published over 450 peer-reviewed articles in the field of urology with special focus on minimally invasive therapy, oncological urology and endourology. He co-authors 4 books and has published over 100 book-chapters.

Kural Ali Riza
Istanbul - Turkey
Dr Ali Riza Kural graduated from Istanbul University School of Medicine in 1974 and trained in Urology at the Cerrahpasa School of Medicine, Istanbul University. Dr Kural initiated “the endoscopic stone treatment of urinary stone disease programme” in 1996 and the “laparoscopic urological oncology program” in 2002, in the same department. He built the first robotic urology program in the region including the Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Dr Kural is now a member of Board of Directors of Endourological Society and also a Board Member of European Robotic Urology Society (ERUS). He arranged many local and international meetings in Turkey.

Gross J. Andreas

Prof. Dr. Andreas J. Gross was born and raised in Germany. He studied medicine, history and political sciences at the Universities of Freiburg, Lakeland/Florida, Munich, Lübeck, and Wellington/New Zealand. He graduated from Medical University Lübeck/Germany in 1987 and finished his doctoral thesis in 1988. His medical career started in the Department of Physiology at the Medical University Lübeck, where he also spent a year in the Department of Surgery. His training in urology was conducted at the University Hospitals of Berlin and Hamburg/Germany. After his board certification, Dr. Gross became a consultant urologist at the University Hospital in Göttingen/Germany. Here, he finished his professorial thesis in 1997 and became a Professor of Urology in 2001. In 2000, he was elected to be Head of Department at Marienkrankenhaus in Bergisch Gladbach/Germany, teaching hospital of the University of Cologne/Germany. In 2005, he transferred to become Head of Department of Urology at Asklepios Hospital Barmbek in Hamburg/Germany, which is a teaching hospital to both Hamburg University and Semmelweis University of Budapest/Hungary.
He is responsible for the academic program in urology at the Asklepios Medical School of the latter. The Department of Urology is one of the largest departments of its kind in Germany. Dr. Gross is member of numerous academic societies, such as German Society of Urology, American Society of Urology, Société Internationale d´Urologie, Endourological Society etc. He holds various posts in those congregations. He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board in Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Society of Germany, Uro News/Germany, Yaramdas Patel Academic Centre in Nadiad/India. He is chairman of the August-Kürten-Foundation. Dr. Gross published over 100 reviewed journal articles, numerous book articles, published abstracts, and national/international lectures in 22 countries. He was awarded with several awards both nationally and internationally. His main interest in Urology is endourology and lasers in urology.

Joyce D. Adrian

I have been a Consultant Urologist at St James’s University Hospital and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leeds, Leeds since 1992 as a General Urologist with a specific subspecialty interest in Endourology and Upper Tract Minimally Invasive Surgery including Laparoscopy. To date I have over 60 publications in peer reviewed journals and have been co-author of a text book on Laparoscopy in Urology and author of several chapters on Stone Management and Laparoscopy. My current research interests focus on the management and research of Renal Cell Cancer in conjunction with Prof R Banks of CRC (UK). I am a past President of the BAUS Section of Endourology and have been a board member of the European Society for UroTechnology since 1999. Since 2005 I have been the UK Board member to the Endourological Society (USA) and member of the Awards Panel. I am the current President of the British Association of Urological Surgeons since July 2010.

Tanguay Simon

Dr Tanguay completed his residency training at McGill University in 1992 and a fellowship in Urologic Oncology at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in 1995. Dr Tanguay is currently Professor in the Department of Surgery, division of Urology at McGill University and Head of Urologic Oncology at the McGill University Health Center.
Dr Tanguay was actively involved in the Quebec Urological Association where is served as President of the Continuous Medical Education from 2001 to 2004 and served as Treasurer of this Association. He is Co-Director of the clinical research unit within the Division of Urology at McGill University.
Dr Tanguay served a member of the executive committee of the Genito-Urinary group at the National Cancer Institute of Canada. He currently serves as General Secretary of the Société Internationale d’Urologie.
Dr Tanguay was actively involved in the Quebec Urological Association where is served as President of the Continuous Medical Education from 2001 to 2004 and served as Treasurer of this Association. He is Co-Director of the clinical research unit within the Division of Urology at McGill University.
