Location

Hongkong, officially known as Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, is an autonomous territory on the southern coast of China at the Pearl River Estuary and the South China Sea.[10] Hong Kong is known for its skyline and deep natural harbour.
In the late 1970s, Hong Kong became a major entrepĂ´t in Asia-Pacific. The territory has developed into a major global trade hub and financial centre and is regarded as a world city. Hong Kong ranks top ten in GDP (PPP) per capita.
Hong Kong is one of the three most important financial centres alongside New York and London.

Official Languages

Chinese and English are the official languages.  Most people in shops, restaurants and hotels speak some English.

Hong Kong International Airport is 45 kilometers from downtown Kowloon (a 45-minutes ride). The total area is 550,000 square meter, was the world's largest airport terminal according to 1998 Guinness World Records
