Among the 48 teams and a total of 6.202 men, women and children who participated at the first Athens “NO FINISH LINE”, held from 26th to 30th April, the Erasmus team joined forces with Kyvernitis Travel to show actively their support to such an important initiative. With a strong sense of responsibility, our team walked and ran at the specially designed 1 km circular route around the canal of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center. We recorded 133 Km in total and contributed to the actualization of the feeding program for needy families with young children, held by the organization “Together for Children”. The total revenue was 25.451, 50€ (the largest amount ever being raised by any kind of charity campaign in our country).
The Erasmus team, full of joy and pride, started in this manner the warm-up for the conference “Marathon” period (also known as May). Knowing that during the laps the secret to success lays in the athlete keeping a steady pace, our footsteps led us to the Megaron Athens International Conference Centre, for the organization of the 13th Congress of the European Association of Dermato Oncology (EADO), held from 3rd to 6th May. A small ‘’detour’’ took us to the Crowne Plaza hotel for the ESHRE Course (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) on the 5th and 6th of May and then straight ahead to the Athens Hilton for the 37th Athenian Urology Days (19-21 May). Next “challenge” in our race was Paris for the CIE Meeting (21-23 May) and Löwenstein, Germany for the ESPN Course, held from 22 to 26 May. Keeping a steady pace we continue our route to cross the finish line of 5 national and international congresses organized by Erasmus in Athens, Nafplion and Lyon, during June and beginning of July.
