Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” was nominated as the “Best Airport in Europe” for 2014, in the “10-25 million passenger” category, during the 10th Annual ACI EUROPE «Best Airport Awards». The award ceremony was held on 18 June 2014, in Frankfurt.
