Recovery from the summer.
This was quite a different summer with unprecedented turbulence of political and financial nature in the country. Still, as strong as ever we thank our clients in Greece and abroad for their continued trust and we promise to make them proud of their decision by our everlasting commitment to the highest quality of services and increased flexibility, regardless of external conditions.

Is solid waste actually useless?
The answer was given during the Athens 2015 International Landfill Mining Conference of the LIFE+ reclaim project, which took place in Athens, at the Divani Acropolis Hotel on September 24-25, 2015. The conference discussed the alternative proposal of reclaiming useful materials, land and energy from waste disposal sites through their mining and appropriate treatment. State of the art technologies in the field were presented and the applicability of the method to the Greek and European space was discussed.

Then we take Berlin!
A milestone in our long term cooperation with the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, the 4th Pediatric Allergy and Asthma Meeting took place in Berlin with an impressive attendance of 1300 participants. At Erasmus we believe that our success is measured in large by the satisfaction rate as expressed directly to the organizers. In this context, we were proud to hear from the Chair of PAAM 2015 that she was happy to receive 99% positive feedback! We are already working hard to raise expectations for the next EAACI events in Rome (FAAM 2016) and London (PAAM 2017), organized by Erasmus.

We are here - not only for the big ones.
The “Fragrant Harbour”, also known as Hong Kong, was the venue of the first in a series of hands-on training courses in Endourology organized by the Endourological Society and Erasmus. The practical part of the courses is designed for a targeted audience of not more than 50 persons and aims at covering the educational and training needs of young fellows in Eastern and Southern Asia, Latin America and the Arab countries. In this strategic cooperation, the Endourological Society directs the content and educational format of the courses while Erasmus provides organizational and financial management, logistics, marketing and promotion of the events. The inaugural course in Hong Kong took place on October 30-31, 2015.

Erasmus team becomes social media savvy.
Likes, friends, follows, hash tags, re-tweets… Giving new meaning to old words or adding new terms in our day to day work is a reality. To be able to make the most of social media to the benefit of the events we organize, at Erasmus we organized onsite our premises an intensive face book marketing course which took place on October 21st. We are now cruising in the social media space with more confidence!

Terror among us.
Deeply shocked and concerned we followed the terrorist attacks which took place in Paris on November 13th.This overwhelming feeling of insecurity, which looks like is here to stay for good, is absolutely disturbing. However, our attitude is not to “surrender” to fear and to continue our business as usual in Paris and all other parts around Europe and the world. This attitude is certainly not only in theory with two events being organized by Erasmus in Paris, in May 2016.

Yoga, meditation and … conference promotion.

On November 19-23, 2015 we traveled to New Delhi, India, to promote the 4th International Summit on Nail Diseases which will be organized in Athens in June 2017, chaired by Professor Rigopoulos.  Traveling to India was quite an experience and we were amazed by the divine architecture of the Taj Mahal! Business wise, attending the 3rd International Summit on Nail Diseases, which was organized by the Nail Society of India, was very worthwhile and we already look forward to welcoming an Indian delegation to Athens in 2017.

Made in Greece.
No doubt, Greek entrepreneurship is going through tough times. Luckily enough, a significant number of Greek enterprises look into the future and adopt an open minded and extrovert attitude.That said it is not a surprise that the second edition of the Made in Greece Awards (inaugurated in 2013 by the Greek Marketing Academy), has attracted once again this year high attendance by candidate awardees. Through this initiative, the Greek Marketing Academy aims at contributing to the productive reconstruction of the Greek economy though the establishment of a production development model focusing on innovation, extroversion and marketing of Greek quality products. This year, a new award category has been added for Startup Production Excellence. The award winners and highlights from the Awards Ceremony of December 15th will be posted on www.madeingreeceawards.gr
