SWINE FLU ΑΝΝOUNCEMENT
On behalf of Erasmus Conferences Tours & Travel S.A we would like to confirm that there are no plans to postpone the 17th International Conference on Health Promoting Hospitals & Health Services, which will be organized as scheduled on May 6-8 in Crete. In addition, it should be noted that both the Greek Minister of Health and Social Solidarity and the representative of the Hellenic Center for Infectious Diseases Control underlined on Monday April 27th that “there's no cause for concern” related to this situation.
Also, we would like to inform you that the Hellenic Ministry of Health and Social Solidarity, all related Greek health authorities and the security services at Athens International Airport held a meeting on Sunday April 26th to discuss the progress of the swine fever epidemic that has appeared in Mexico and the southern United States, setting up mechanisms and procedures for dealing with suspected incidents of the disease.

ERASMUS PARTICIPATES AT THE IAPCO ANNUAL MEETING
(FEB. 12-15, 2009)
Erasmus SA participated at the 40th IAPCO (International Association of Professional Congress Organisers) Annual Meeting and General Assembly that took place in Ghent in February 2009, in which Erasmus has been welcomed as a new IAPCO member. The meeting brought together 66 of the total 101 members from 35 countries. Erasmus SA has been officially represented by Ms. Georgia Tsatsou, Member of the Board of Directors.

We have just completed the re-design of our official website www.erasmus.gr along with the renewal of our company profile. On our website, you will be able to view interactive presentations of past events as well as a variety of information regarding our current activities.

COMPANY BROCHURE
We follow up with the refinement of our brochure under the administration and artistic attention of the company’s graphic arts department. The “refreshed” company brochure is expected at the end of April.

SENSITIZATION TO ENVIRONMENTAL MATTERS
Sensitive and consistent to matters of environmental care, we have chosen since 2000 to use a special recycling programme of KLIMAKA (www.klimaka.org.gr), which is a non-government organization for the development of social and human potential. Every day, either in the office or on-site during a congress, we recycle all paper or plastic items used, while at the end of every event, all remaining congress printed material and recycling items of congress participants and exhibitors are carried, on our accord, to our offices for including them in our special programme.
