Official Language
The official languages of the Congress are English and Greek. Simultaneous interpretation will be available.
Badges
Badges will be issued upon checking at the registration desk. All participants are suggested to wear their badges during all meeting activities, including the Commercial Exhibition.
On-site registration
The registration desk and the meeting secretariat will be located at the Divani Caravel Hotel. On-site registration will be available during the following hours:

Certificate of attendance
A certificate of attendance will be issued for all registered participants upon presentation of their badge at the Secretariat desk on Saturday, October 9, 2010.
Preview Area
Speakers are kindly requested to check their presentations and data and hand them in at the designated area one hour prior to the beginning of their session.
Coffee and refreshments
Coffee and refreshments will be served at the exhibition area.
Currency / Credit Cards / Banking
All Congress fees are calculated in Euro (€). Participants from countries where currency restrictions prevent them from sending registration fees in advance are asked to inform the Congress Secretariat to avoid being charged the late registration fee. Foreign currency, Traveler’s Cheques, and Eurocheques can be exchanged at the airport bank upon arrival or at banks located throughout Athens. Local banks in Athens will not cash personal cheques. Participants are advised to bring cash, traveller’s cheques or Eurocheques. Major credit cards are accepted in Athens. Banks are open to the public from Monday to Friday, 08:00-14:00 hrs.
Electricity
A round-pin adaptor is necessary for electrical appliances. In Greece the electrical power is 220 volts AC, 50 cycles.
Climate and Clothing
The climate beginning of October is still quite warm. The average temperature is 22-27oC during the day and 15-20oC during the evening.
Access
“Eleftherios Venizelos”, the International Airport of Athens, is directly linked with 68 cities and 45 countries. Athens is also easily accessed by rail, road and sea.
Transportation from Athens “El. Venizelos” Airport to the City Center:
- By metro from the airport directly to Syntagma Sq. in the center of Athens. The ticket costs Euros 8 and may be purchased at the ticket counter of the airport metro station.
- A taxi from the airport to Athens city center costs approximately Euros 30-35 (higher rates apply after midnight) and takes about 30 minutes, or longer, depending on traffic conditions (Rates are subject to change).
Transportation within Athens
The cost of a single ticket is 1 Euro on the metro and for public buses.
The cost of a 24hr ticket for unlimited use of all types of public transport is 3 Euros (rates are subject to change).
